Our Role

Car Recovery Direct provides lead generation, customer service, and booking management. We do not own or operate recovery trucks. Instead, we connect customers with vetted, self-employed vehicle recovery drivers.

2. 

How Our Service Works

• A non-refundable deposit is required to secure a recovery driver.
• The remaining balance is paid directly to the driver at the time of service.
• Final price may vary depending on vehicle condition, size, and accessibility.

3. 

Additional Fees

• Late Fees: If a customer delays or is unavailable at the agreed pickup location, a fee of £10 per 30 minutes will apply.
• Vehicle Condition or Size Fees: If your vehicle is oversized, lowered, or severely damaged (e.g. no wheels, no steering, off-road), an additional fee may apply, assessed by the assigned driver on arrival.

4. 

Customer Responsibilities

You must:

• Provide accurate information about the vehicle, location, and issue.
• Be reachable by phone during the booking.
• Ensure safe and legal access to the vehicle for loading and transport.

5. 

Cancellations & Refunds

• Deposits are non-refundable once a driver has been assigned.
• If no driver is available, your deposit will be fully refunded.
• If you cancel before a driver is confirmed, we may refund your deposit minus a small admin fee (typically £5).

6. 

Driver Conduct & Liability

• All drivers are independent contractors with their own insurance.
• Car Recovery Direct is not responsible for damage, delay, or disputes once the vehicle is in the driver’s care.
• Any issues must be addressed directly with the driver or their insurer.

7. 

Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for:

• Delays due to traffic, weather, or other external conditions.
• Costs related to missed appointments or travel delays.
• Any mechanical or cosmetic damage caused during the recovery (you must raise these directly with the driver).

8. 

Right to Refuse

We reserve the right to refuse service if:

• The customer is abusive or aggressive.
• The location is unsafe for the driver.
• The vehicle is misrepresented.
